Susan: Florida, United States; Educator and Writer. I received my B.S.degree from Florida State University. My M.S.degree is from the University of Miami. I am a card carrying member of SCBWI. My novel, Only Losers Cry, has been published and is scheduled to be released in bookstores on May 7, 2013. I have been published in the Tampa Tribune, Tallahassee Democrat, the Naples Daily News, LADYBUG magazine and Knowonder--an e-website. In addition I have been published in the Mailbox, The Idea Magazine for Teachers. I am presently writing children's books and magazine articles. My finished manuscripts include: One middle grade fiction: Open Doors Picture book manuscripts include: Ducks in a Row, Patchwork Platypus (published), Mouse and the Tattered Red Umbrella and Jacob's Surprise. Two magazine articles: A Feather is a Letter from a Bird (published in the July/August 2012 issue of LADYBUG) and Drew's Secret. Two articles in the adult area that include a short story entitled Hidden Treasures (published) and Totured Souls, Shattered Dreams. DUCKS IN A ROW and DREW'S SECRET received honorable mention from the Writer's Digest Children's/Young Adult Writing Contest.
